Not only did my basement flood today, but after tearing into my 17.5hp B&S I found out that I need a new tractor. My timing is off and as I found the only way to fix it is to crack the head.... not worth the head ache. New Engines are $500 and >. So I think its time to buy a new tractor. I want to stay away from the high dollar green and yellow, as I want to pay for quality not name brand! I would like to put a plow on it, and probably stay away from 3pt and PTO for pocket book sakes.

    What say you INGO?

Wellll, I was going to say John Deere, but you said no yellow and green. These are the only ones I have experience with. Put gas in them and change the oil once in a while and that's it other than sharpening the blades on the mower deck. My grandfather had one for over 25 years, which was replaced because it was getting old! I've had mine for 10+ years and it just runs.:yesway:
