I have to be in Evansville Saturday for my daughters cheerleading competition. I figure I'll have lots of free time before and after her team performs. Any good ranges, gun stores, sporting goods stores, etc. in the convention center area?

I suggest the Gerst Haus on Franklin Street. Good german and american tavern food served in a restored hardware store, plus plenty of beer on tap and a worldwide selection in cans and bottles.

Find Riverside Drive, turn north toward the Lloyd Expressway. Drive under the Lloyd.....Riverside now becomes Fulton Ave, continue north. Look for Franklin Street, then turn left(west). Cross Pigeon Creek, then railroad tracks. Look for library on your left, Gerst Haus will be just west of the library.

Rajo's Guns is right next door, along with Bud's Harley Davidson.

    Enjoy!

Some good suggestions here, Gerst is good. Turoni's Pizza is really good. I much prefer Shyler's BBQ over Wolff's ANYDAY but Wilson's BBQ is the best in town. Whittaker's if you have the time. Just check the Gunshop threads to hear what others have to say about Rajo's and Strictly Shooting.
