Im not sure what is their reasons behind that "no picture" rule.
Not that they need to have reasons behind their silly rules.
I have already been stopped by the security for taking pictures inside an airport, they asked to see all the pictures I took to see if it was a "security risk".
I can understand that for an airport, but at the mall, is it also to prevent terrorist attack in their mall?

Ummm, not too long ago a girl walked into a fountain at a mall. The mall cops put the security video on the internet and the girl is suing them.

    Wow talk about situation awareness.
Im amazed those kinds of people are still alive when I see how blind they are with their phone, even worse with their MP3 players when they cant even hear someone walking right behind them.
I saw a girl like that with headphones on very narrow sidewalk, walking really slowly with her head down looking at her Ipod.
I was walking just behind her.
I said "Excuse me!" a few times, trying to get around her, then placed my hand on her shoulder to get her attention and she jumped and screamed.
I wonder why those people dont get attacked more often.
I could have fallowed her home without her noticing.
I told her to pay more attention and that she was not alone in her room, she was in the street with cars and people around and how dangerous it was to be blind and deaf. And she had a "whatever dude" look on her face.

Probably not terrorist, but financial or security. When I worked at some casinos cameras were banned, and if you were seen taking pictures with your your phone security was supposed to ask you to delete them with them watching, if you refused or were caught again, automatic trespassed. Heck writing tools were technically banned.

    Where's the bacon?
If you wanted to perform an act of terrorism, would you not do some recon? Take photos of your objective, routes of entry and egress, camera locations and other possible hindrances? Would not a mall full of people be a possible target?

I can understand some restrictions. I don't have to like them nor subject myself to them. I'm still free to choose not to go to the mall. No stupid restrictions, AND I'm not part of the victim population. Win/win.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Nice. I've seen hookers in fishnet tops with nothing under them at UP mall and it took about 30 minutes before they were asked to leave. Take some pictures and get the boot. Never been a big fan of that mall.

My wife and I occasionally shop at Markland Mall (a Simon property), and I have checked by EVERY entrance, and have never seen restrictions to carrying a firearm or photography. Thats absolutely insane.
