What gunshops in the New Albany / Louisville area are recommended for someone who wants to sell a few guns?

What are you selling? Gun/pawn shops will always buy anything as long as they can make a profit. As for the magic spot that will give you top dollar, I don't have that answer. I say don't be desperate and have some patience and you can get a fair price. If your looking for quick cash so that you can buy your kid that GI Joe with the kung fu grip, list it here with a fair price and it will sell.

Selling to a gun shop is like selling to a car dealership. Its convenient, but you lose money on the deal as they are going to give you less than you'd make in a private sale. Unless you're in dire need of cash quick, why not post them on the INGO classifieds? Failing that, perhaps a store with consignment options? That'll split the difference.

A gun shop will on average, give you about half of the retail worth of a firearm. The consignment option is out there. I know that Hi Tek ( HiTek Firearms & Training ) in Sellersburg does consignments. I think that Falls City Firearms in Clarksville ( Falls City Firearms - 812.725.1911 ) also does this. Why don't you just post the firearms for sale here and see if you generate any interest?
