Without a question (as I just picked one up and have put it through it's paces) this is the ultimate .357 carry revolver.

Ruger LCR, Smith & Wesson 442/642, Taurus 85 UL. All good solid choices and easy to find. I too prefer a revolver with an exposed hammer, but for concealed carry I would highly recommend hammerless or shrouded hammer. Also the .357s are nice for versitility but I am not sure you will be gaining much from a 2 inch barrel. Lot of recoil and muzzel flash from the magnum loads.
