Has one tried out/felt the new buttstock/pistol grip on the 2014 DD rifles? They went away with the Magpul furniture and have made their own parts. Both have an overmolding texture. The buttstock comes with 2 different types of pads, one is convex and one is concave. The pistol grip and trigger guard are integrated as one piece together. I'm thinking about getting an M4V7, but I am curious about these new additions. Anyone have any experience with them?

I think it looks pretty cool. Very unique, and if the rubber overmolding feels decent, I will definitely be getting one of the new ones. Is there a place in Indy that usually has DD rifles in stock? I haven't seen any around.

Rubber overmolding on a grip is G2G; in fact I prefer it. Rubber overmolding on the cheek comb of stock, I'm not a fan. Rubber is a beard pullin' mofo! I've gotta a big, warm cup of "NO" for rubber on a cheek comb.

A buddy of mine picked up a DDM4A1 from Elmores a couple of weeks ago. Got to say I was skeptical about the stock and grip but after getting some range time with it I kinda like it. The grip is nice and the rubber on the stock is not tacky so it didn't grab my beard at all. So imo they are g2g.
