    I curious about that also.

    A while back, I traded into a magnesium stripped lower. Researching after the fact :rolleyes:, I discovered that field "mortaring" to clear stuck cases often breaks these lower receivers, leaving them unrepairable. :n00b:

    While the New Frontier Armory lowers are billet aluminum, I wonder how vulnerable they are to this also?

    I just saw this in a pistol on Expedition Overland last night.

    I'm guessing there is a reason the original LAW folding adapters were aluminum, but now they are steel. While I can certainly appreciate the engineering that went into the Frontier, I don't like that it's aluminum and integrated into the receiver.

    Make the whole lower from premium steel and thin where you can to cut weight and I MIGHT consider this. Aluminum lower is not designed for stress of integral fold.

    I’d like to see their FEA of the part.
