What's the retention like? Will the gun stay in the holster and retained properly if you take a spill or if the flap happens to get opened?

I shook it hard upside down and it didn’t open. BUT, if you have it open upside down the gun with fall out.

My dad is 78 and bought a Sneaky Pete for his S&W 380. He came walking up to a group of us at a parade last year. Was wearing his flip phone next to his sneaky p. He looked pretty obvious

Is the grip similar to a gen 3?

No. Removed the grooves and slightly smaller without any extra backstrap. I went with Gen 5 instead of 4 as well because the grip felt the smallest. I didn't mind the grooves. I used to own Gen 2 and 3 models but they were really too big for me.
