Good eye! They could be used in a 45-70.
They are as cast, 45cal, 550gr, tapered first band, cast from a Buffalo Arms Creedmoor mould. They work well in my 45-110 Shiloh Sharps over 110grs of Swiss 1.5fg at 1425fps.

It is indeed; if anyone is wondering why I joined an Indiana forum... my wife's family is from the Plymouth area and mostly still live in the area and we visit often. Places like Burr Oak, Akron, etc., are somewhat familiar. I also have a good friend on this forum that lives there. That said, I have friends that are into firearms all over the USA, so distance between like-minded folks is not strange to me.
