new iPOD question

just got a new iPOD touch for granddaughter,no instructions to get us started. Apple help online is always down. got iTunes and quicktime downloaded to computer,but no idea what is next step. can anybody HELP??? thanks

Start iTunes then plug the iPod into your computer. It should start a start up process if it's new. If it's used you'll see it pop up on the bar on the left side of the screen.

You must have music within your iTunes library. You can either obtain music files by purchasing them from the iTunes store, transferring music from CDs you already own, or by obtaining music from several other sources.
