I have 500 pieces of brand new Lake City .223 REM / 5.56 brass, it averages 1.755 - 1.760". I plan to put 62gr FMJs on top of them for practice on steel out to 100 yds.
Would you spend the time to trim them? My trimmer is set to 1.750" with a slight bevel. It is a manual trimmer -- labor intensive.
Nope. No trimming needed. I can't remember the last time I bothered to trim or even check the length of my brass. It doesn't grow long enough in a dozen reloads to worry about. Loose primer pockets and split necks are far more common.

That kind of surprises me. I just assumed all the High Masters trimmed their brass (yes, I'm being serious). That just goes to show it's more about the marksmanship than the equipment. I've trimmed my brass used for competition since I started.
