Its a Colt 20" NATO 1/7 upper. Snaps onto lug well. Has about 1/4 inch sway from center either direction. I thought the M9 was made to fit the A2 birdcage. Any thoughts?

A1 or A2 flash hider? I counldn't tell in the pictures.

Try a different flash hider. The flash hider or bayonet may be a wee bit out of spec.

The picture doesn't look like its any worse than on a standard issue weapon. A mil issued M9 on a mil issued M16 still wobbles some.

I guess thats my question. Is a little rattle normal? Appears by your assesment that its normal. Its not gonna fall off, but it doesnt feel as rigid as what I was expecting. I would consider my entire rig to be mil spec. So thats as good as it gets?
