New Ruger PC carbine versions includes 40S&W

I was really hoping for a .45acp version, not really interested in the .40. I do really like my 9mm version.

A .45 would be cool. While all my handgun magazines (other than the two that came with my Ruger rimfire) are Glock 9mm, I think I'd splurge on some 45 ACP magazines if that caliber were offered. I won't consider it for a .40.

has anyone handled the new version with the new hand guard?

to me, the old version forend, just didnt feel "right".
i had a chance to shoot 10 rds or so out of one after a match last year, i still havnt "pulled the trigger" (so to speak) on one yet.

and now that they have an offering in 40 s&w.... now i have another choice to deal with.

I put the Midwest Ind. on mine. The way it handles and points is so much smother.

Bradis got in one of the new versions. I was excited about it until I handled it. It's nice and looks cool but i'm sticking with the original version. Just didn't like the feel.

.45 ACP please, then I'll be interested. I really like the 9mm version, but I already have an AR in 9 and I don't need the redundancy.

Unlike the .45, 9mm gains a good bit of power from a longer barrel. I’ll take the 9mm.

I nearly left with it last Friday after work. Handling seems great to me.

I wonder if one could whip up some handloads with a slower powder that would make the long barrel really a big step in power.

Yes I thought I might dig one of these. Picked one up at a gun show. Definitely a deal breaker on the weight and it looks like a 10-22 also a deal breaker. Didn't look at the price. Think I can slam an AR9 together for cheap and more importantly look cool

Fondled one at NRAAM. The new handguard version is noticeably heavier than the standard model.
