I can dig that, I saw some that looked like my logo on E-bay. I thought they would look sweet on my 1911. Where did you get those at? Do they have any texture/checkered or just glossy?

Yes, it is a pirate thing.

That makes me feel a lot better.:D

the bones on the totenkopf are set behind the skull.

ihate, on the ones I was concerned about, you are correct, but the totenkopf has been around for a long time and comes in different configs. Heck, even the U.S. military was using the totenkopf up until recently.

I feel like this is more a game of semantics. Yes, totenkopf was the skull used by the nazi 3rd SS division, but it means "Death's Head" in German. That being the case, I feel like if another country uses a skull and crossbones type symbol it would not be referred to as a totenkopf unless the country spoke German. For the U.S. military it is just a good ole skull and crossbones, or the death's head.

Yes, totenkopf was the skull used by the nazi 3rd SS division,

And many other SS units, including the concentration camp guards.

but it means "Death's Head" in German.

    Right, Deathman's head.

For the U.S. military it is just a good ole skull and crossbones, or the death's head.

Surely you can see the concern the totenkopf image creates?

I know about the whole pirate/ninja meme but we in the gun culture do not need any more concern. Unless you are explicit about why you are putting a deathhead on your gun (pirates, USMC Recon, inter alia) then I'd be very careful about carrying it or using it in self-defense. Just sayin'
