    The only issue is there's a lot of varieties of mail order seeds that can't be bought as plants.


    Correct. But if you just want some romas or big boy slicers, dont waste your time. Just like if you just want a generic lager you buy a case of Yeungling, you dont toil over mash, etc making a microbrew.

    Get the big rope tubs from Walmart. They are around 6 bucks iirc and they hold a lot of dirt for larger plants like tomatoes. Drill some holes in the bottom and you're gtg. A bonus with the black colored ones is the extra warmth you get into the soil.

    And line them with landscape cloth so the soil doesnt run out with the water.
