I use a scope because I have bad eyesight. I don't think I could see the crosshairs that far away.

It's a pistol scope so it has to be down a ways. It's actually the first rifle I've had set up this way but it works.

Dude thats a sweet looking rifle, I love the Rancher my brother has one just coyotes, great rifle and sick set up

Sweet! That scope work out ok shooting at stationary targets as well as moving ones?

That's a nice looking rig Larry, congratulations.

Lubrication procedures are the same as a Garand or an M1A if you're familiar with those.

And you probably already know, but buy only Ruger mags, and the 20 rounders usually work better than some of the 30's.
