Next Year It's Fishing Time Again!!

My kids are getting old enough that it is time for me to get back into fishing after about a 15 year vacation.

This "dirt" cheap find in my neighbors barn will help.....

So far I have done nothing but an hours worth of gas motor operated power washing. Next is actual hand washing/scrubbing and waxing.

Then I am going to instal a new on board battery charger, two new batteries and a tune up. May have to buy new tires also but I haven't had time to reall inspect them yet.

I figure after the tune up, 2 new marine batteries and the battery charger I will have about $2500 in it.

Well done! Just getting my girls into fishing this year as well. No boat as of yet but hope to find one next spring. I'd be lucky to find a deal like that....Props to you for getting her back in action!

I put my duck boat battery in it tonight and got the bildge, the airator, the horn, the lights and the trolling motor running great. Next is to get the outboard tuned up and running smooth.

Then to decide if I want to buy new batteries this fall or wait until Spring. I may just winterize it after I get the motor running good.
