For me the Patriots didn't matter either way. No hate nor love for them.
Bringing Gordon back and now AB, they're leaving a bad taste in my mouth. And yes I understand the NFL is just another business but .... geez and rice people, the Pats have even less character than I'd imagined.

This contract was never going to work out after the Raiders eliminated his bonuses. Brown wasn't going to play (I don't blame him) and was forcing the Raiders hand to ignore his antics. I do find it interesting that NBC evening news covered this story but Brown's name calling and threat to punch the GM wasn't mentioned in their report. Yet NBC Sports website has a story about it. I guess evening news division didn't feel it was important to the story.

What great tools has Brady had that Manning didn't?

Manning played with Marvin Harrison (hall of famer), Edgerin James (hall of fame finalist), Reggie Wayne (possible hall of famer) Tarik Glenn, (all pro left tackle).

Brady has had ... Gronk. A bunch of small random white wide receivers. Running backs that no one has ever heard of.

Many of the high-scoring Colts offenses were loaded with talent. The Patriots squeeze every ounce of effort and performance out of average players. Totally different styles and systems for sure, but Brady has never been surrounded by super stars.

The Patriots win by playing solid defense, not turning the ball over and by exploiting the weakness of their opponent. A ton of that credit falls on Belichick, the greatest coach ever. But Brady deserves to be called the best QB too. No one has ever done what he's done.

What!? Brady has had a lot more weapons than gronk. Hogan? Blount? Branch? Randy moss? Edelman? That’s not including hall of fame lineman and the crazy amounts of hall of famers on their defense through the manning Brady era. If Peyton actually had a team who knows what he would have achieved. He was on the Broncos for 4 years and went to 2 Super Bowls. He actually has a better record against Brady, and the pats haven’t beat manning since 2008 (?) if I recall correctly. The pats were already a Super Bowl team when Brady went there. The colts were garbage when Peyton came.

Well, this ****ing sucks as a Steelers fan. . . Ben out for the season.

I guess I will not have to worry about how to score Super Bowl tickets this year.

No knock on your team but my favorite team is who ever is handing out a beat down to the Steelers. And 2nd to the Patriots.

I have put on my flame retardant apparel so flame away.......:flamethrower:

CM, what an ugly thing to say. . . . I suppose I could overlook this one flaw.

I hate to break it to you, but you were never in danger of worrying about that. Steelers weren't going to the Super Bowl even with Big Ben.

Yeah...saw the game week one. Everyone's talking about the abysmal situation in Miami, but the Steelers didn't fair much better against the Patriots.

Not exactly breaking news but Vinatieri holds off on retirement, Giants have benched Eli in and are starting Daniels, and Drew Brees out for est. 6 weeks due to a torn ligament.
