Seeking input on what you use to take care of your Nickel guns. I’ve never had nickel before and typically use Hoppe’s cleaning supplies but have read that’s not the greatest. What works for you?

This is a great question, and I need to learn the answer as well.
I have a brand new nickel-plated Henry American Eagle on the way.

I have nickel revolvers. CLP works ok. With Hopps, the fear is the ammonia can dissolve the copper under the nickel.
Another concern is anything scraped off, the nickel could come with it.

As posted above, don't use Hoppes, or anything else with ammonia/anything designed to eat copper

G-96, Ballistol, Rem Oil, CLP, Lucas CLP, would be okay

For polishing, I usually use Flitz or Lucas Oil polish
