Does anyone have any experience with the Nikon p-223 3x32 scope?

Im looks for a new optic for my AR15. I have BUIS and a 3-9x, but I'm looking for something to plink with. I've considered a red dot, but past 75ish yards, I really need some magnification.

Im curious if this scope provides for quick acquisition and some functionality of a red dot, without being like a true scope.

I have this scope on my AR. I went this route because I couldn't see out very far with my red dot (bad eyes). It is an awesome little scope that I have used to shoot out to 500 yds with. I have also used it in some close quarter drills and house clearing drills in low light situations. It works very well, but target acquisition is not as fast as a red dot. It takes just a split second longer for the cross hairs to come into focus for me. For me, this scope is a very good compromise.

I've been looking into picking one of these up also.

Edit: Browsing black friday ads Cabela's has them for $99.

I had one and it was pretty great for the price. I did switch to a red dot though because of what was said by redbaron. It takes a second or two for me to focus on the crosshairs. If you plan on shooting a little longer distances check out the 3x9. It was alright as well

I've recently been impressed with the glass coming form Nikon. I have the P223 3 x 9 x 40 and the clarity is quite nice.
I understand that the M-223 is specific for the AR platform.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

I am not going this route and have opted for a red dot.

Although, I did see the Cabelas add for $99 which is a pretty decent deal. Maybe I'll try to pick one up to play around with...

I mounted this on my Colt AR, and it was the obvious choice. Clear, crisp image, plus it is just perfect for varmints, and the $150+ price point can't be beat. I'm planning on putting the 300 Blackout on my AR when I pick up the blackout upper.
