Is there a specific model you are looking at?

Generally speaking, I have always found the Nikon glass to be brighter and often clearer than most competitors in the price range. What I have not liked as much are their turrets and I am not a big fan of mil/moa setups (i.e. mildot w/ 1/4moa adjustments)

Exactly, Nikon has good glass, but their turret design leaves a lot to be desired, I dont like mil/moa or vise versa scopes, and I dont know what they are thinking with their open circle BDC reticle.
