When was the last time a non-2a constitutionally guaranteed right was denied due to traffic infractions?
(to slightly modify SCOTUS Judge Clarence Thomas' previous comment regarding the 2nd A)

Heads should roll for this type of atrocious violation of rights. And that's what it is. This is suppression and violation of rights. People need to stop seeing this as a guy getting denied the ability to "tote a gun around." Due to traffic infractions, this man was denied the right to protect himself, his family, etc.....

I can see the reasoning applying in a lot of instances. Wanna deny a DL? Makes sense. He would have to get a waiver to get in the Army.

But it flies in the face of the 2A, and as such, doesn't work. But then, NJ doesn't work all that well in general.

NJ counts reckless driving and speeding 20 mph over speed limit as felonies.

I realize that packing up and moving out of a state is not an easy venture at all, but I cannot see how anyone, who is a passionate gun owner, can remain in in states like New Jersey.

This kind of stuff is why the laws need to change. A felony shouldn't affect your RKBA unless it's violence, robbery, etc... related. A felony for speeding or other victimless "crimes" should have no effect on your constitutionally guaranteed rights.

I have a friend in NJ that lost his RKBA for felony speeding.

New Jersey should be a U.S. possession like Puerto Rico. Same goes for Illinois and Kaliphornia. Ne Federal funding for anything. And when Trump builds his wall - make it go around Kaliphornia........... If they really want to be socialist third world hell holes - give them what they want. Maybe Mexico will want to buy them.

There are exactly two reasons I go to NJ. One is 5 and one is 3 and they are my only nephews. Other than that? Keep that place.

My uncle has a hay farm in NJ and no sons to pass it on to. A few years ago he offered to move my family out to the farm house so he could show me how to run the farm with the option of passing it down to me in a few years.

Sadly I had to refuse the offer because I couldn't stomach the thought of raising my family under the ridiculous laws of that state.

The gun laws of New Jersey spring from the irrational fear and stupidity of racism.

Once a state goes down that road, it is hard to bring it back.

We need Reconstruction 2.0 to bring states like New Jersey back into the Union and back in line.

That will not happen. Not in my lifetime. Knowing who and the type of people are in NJ, NY, CA. It will never happen. Besides Ill, these 3 states have something in common. Ill and DC are pretty much alike IMO.
