Been hanging around the forum for a couple months. I am new to handguns, unless you count the finish it yourself kit cap and ball revolver I had back in the 70s. (It's at my Dad's so I will get it back someday) Bought a Springfield XDM 3.8 9mm from Fort Liberty (great place!) back in December. Haven't got to shoot it yet, waiting for the weather to improve to take it out to a buddies property. Been looking at 1911s, hope to pick one up this summer, and find another Marlin Golden 39A to replace the one I foolishly sold way back when.
