Hello everyone! I recently stumbled upon this website while searching for the reviews of a firearm I recently purchased and decided to join and say hello. I am from Indianapolis and a very new firearm owner.

I have been living in Indianapolis for the past 3 years and purchased my first firearm last year in Fall from Plainfield Shooting Supplies. It is a FNX-9 and I have fired it a few times since I bought it. Then someone told me about the rule - One is none and two is one. So I bought a XDM 9 mm compact at the Indy 1500 show from ZX Guns in August this year. I am a terrible shot with it but it works for the wifey so no complaints there.

Meanwhile I also came across a sweet deal on a Remington 870 and added that to my collection too. And since the total noob that I am, I did not realize that I was buying a 20 ga. Did take it out for shooting once and I really liked how good it felt. So no regret there too.

Lastly, at the recently concluded Indy 1500 last week, I picked up an AR kit and have been hoping that a friend would help me build it. It's a Doublestar 3 gun rifle kit and I am hoping it would turn out nice once done.

But as far as guns go, I am a total noob. I never had exposure to firearms while I was growing up so a lot of stuffs were new to me when I started looking for a handgun for personal protection. I am happy with what I currently have but I still have a long way to go. This place sure looks like the right place to be.

I am glad to be part of this community and thank you for having me here. Hope I get to learn all I need to know. Please bear with noobish question when I pose any.
