hello everyone. I am looking to start the gunsmithing hobby. I am trying to learn as much as possible on the subject, but am limited by finances. I just cant justify spending 5 grand on dvds to show me the best way to take a weapon apart. I figured the best way to learn is hands on, But going out and buying a brand new weapon knowing that i may completly screw it up is just not a good idea. Does anyone know where to buy broken guns and gun parts? I Truly look forward to your replies. Thank you.

Start with highpoints you can get one for $150 so if you totally screw it up your not out much. Also look into Rock Island 1911s you can get them pretty cheap too about $250 is as low as ive seen them, And literature for for 1911s is plentifull and pretty cheap too. Oh and by the way, Welcome to INGO!
