Picked up some of this yellow box Norinco 7.62x39, pulled a bullet and its steel core.

Is this stuff still going wild like it was several years ago?

Whats it worth, I'd rather just swap it out for regular x39 ammo, trade made accordingly as to value.

This was the 762x39 banned from importation because the feds thought it was AP. The steel core is dead soft steel. Shows what they know. Occasionally sold for nutty prices to people that think it is AP. Pic is box and black colored cases. It is commonly known as the "flame thrower ammo". Does have quite the muzzle flash.

Going wild in price? No. Out of stock for a while, yes.

Save it in case you need it.

Ah, yes. The Norinco yellow box.

I remember when this stuff was going for $1.99 for a box of 20, or less than $100 for a case of 1000. That was back in the early 90's. It was the cheapest 7.62 to be had at the time.

I shot all mine up, though. :ar15:

right now the yellow box stuff sells for around $20 a box simply because thats what collectors will pay.

its not worth anymore than wolf, but you can't buy it anymore.
