I think I am gonna build one just like it!
He used bolts, I wonder what the other side looks like up close?
I think it would have been a decent idea if you had an old moison to play with.
I took an old Turkish Mauser and put an ATI stock on it, A cheap scope and bam, looks good (at a distance)! Bad idea for the scope. And way to expensive.
Duracoat it, put the scope over the receiver and don't get to close to people and they will say. NICE. Don't get to close or your coolnest will fade fast.
But I will give him credit on the tinkering part.

I give the individual credit, he came up with a pretty slick idea, its surely different-A "poor man's" 50BMG.

So poor in fact that it has to shoot 7.62x54R :D
It may be ugly, but I think its kind of neat!!

Now when I say ugly, the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$-now thats simply ugly!

    Creativity and idea :yesway:

21st century huh? Like square steel tube, "C" channel iron, flat bar, bolts and presumably nuts on the other side, and a discarded scrap of 2x6 were just invented. What a marroon. No wonder he wants no comments.
He forgot to add in the description the play dough like substance that seems to be keeping the "futuristic" bolt in place.

Well...after staring at the picture again, it looks like he used an allen wrench for the bolt handle.

    The white stuff...Hmmm..."Mighty Putty"

I think the sad part is that he started with a Finnish M39 instead of a run of the mill 91/30. The 91/30 is a common as dirt, but the M39s are a bit harder to find and generally have more history behind them.

The question is; after spending all that energy and time building his mini-BMG look alike, why is he dumping it so quickly? My guess is that it sucks. It will end up in someones collection as a 'WTF was he thinking' oddity bought for about $60.
