NRA Pistol INSTRUCTOR Course - Oct. 17 & 18 - Indy Gun Safety

Indy Gun Safety will be offering the NRA Pistol Instructor Course on Saturday October 17th and Sunday October 18th. Successful candidates will be able to teach NRA First Steps and Basic Pistol courses upon completion. This course INCLUDES the Basic Instructor Training course. (BIT) Prerequisites require completion of a shooting, safety, and stoppage/malfunction drill evaluation, and a 90% or better on the NRA Basic Pistol written test. Taking the NRA Basic Pistol Course is not required but HIGHLY recommended to familiarize yourself with the NRA material. You must be THOROUGHLY familiar with the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook information and techniques. Sign up at Indy Gun Safety Signup

We also offer an instructor mentoring program. For one price, the candidate takes our NRA Basic Pistol Course, then takes the Instructor course, then comes back and teaches a course with us to get a complete behind the scenes look at how a course is conducted and several hours of real teaching experience.
