Give it time. The chimes will stop bothering you.

The wife has an obsession with wind chimes, I've slowly gotten used to them.
Been trying to clear out a more accessible trail to the back portion of the lot where I shoot and want to put one of those fancy sheds there for man stuff. It's been a PITA but it'll be worth it...
Does anyone here have experience with Satellite internet?
The lack of internet does not bother me but even with our cellphone signal booster the internet isn't all that great and it's irritating the wife. We've taken to just downloading whatever YouTube videos/E Books at work but it's not exactly ideal.

Hughsnet I think is the last of the true satellite internet services available. I don't have any experience with their service though. They advertise being able to do voip and streaming video but from past experience in the internet business satellite connections normally had a lot of latency. If you ping a server some where in the world you will get ms time for the packets to make it to the location and back. Cable will give you something like 2 to 60 ms, in the past most satellite connections would give you 200 to 700ms. Now this doesn't really bother you if your looking at billboard type websites or checking email but something like facebook will appear slow to refresh content or if you do any chat or video it will have a slow down in response. You might check around your local area for a wireless provider, as latency will still be worst on wireless than on wired but it should be better than satellite. With satellite you are transmitting your signal from your dish up to the satellite and then back down in Denver Colorado, or Florida which are the main down link locatons in the US. Then it goes back and forth to the content providers on hard line and back... I think airbaud is still around here in the NWI area... Some phone companies offer wireless 3G or 4G services also.

Are you in the middle of a bunch of trees? We have NITCO wireless Internet service at our place. It uses a dish similar to satellite TV, but it is a point to point wireless connection to a tower. It needs a clear line of sight though.

I could be wrong, but I think satellite Internet is actually done over a phone line.

I used to have bi-directional satellite. It fired a signal up to a satellite and also received down from a satellite.

There is also 1 directional satellite that uses a phone line for transmission to the internet but receives from a satellite.

This is my current set up as well, but I use SurfAir Wireless.

SurfAir aslo has a system that will shoot through a limited amount of tree cover.

Thanks for the tip, haven't heard of them before I'll give it a try. The house itself isn't surrounded by trees about a half acre or so is open but beyond that it's pretty much all woods.
Guess it can't hurt to have them come out and do the survey.

The Parkland School District and the Broward County Sheriff, along with the FBI, bear responsibility for the Parkland shooting second only to the shooter himself. The school and the sheriff are more than happy to accommodate and encourage the Parkland students who have seized upon the tragedy as a vehicle for self-promotion by blaming the evil guns instead of the responsible parties. They have complimentary agendas.

But Kyle Kashuv, another Parkland student, has frustrated them by supporting the Second Amendment and criticizing the responsible parties publicly. So after he posted some pictures online of his first visit to a gun range where he and his father took professional instruction the school authorities decided some intimidation was in order. They pulled him out of class and forced him to submit to a bullying session by three police officers.

Not a bad idea in that school. Too bad they are forcing the wrong person. Maybe they should send the actual bullies. You know the activists that have been on tv bragging about bullying someone. Instead go after the kid learning about his rights and bully him? No agenda whatsoever. Jail those administrators for criminal bullying

Anybody have any experience streaming from a roku, firestick, and Xbox one? Sling tv on my Xbox has issues with buffering even after adjusting setting to free up speed, so I was thinking one of the 2 sticks for strictly streaming if I would get less buffering.
