I wish I could get one, I would like something to keep the stray cats away from my home. It would be a waste of a dog that can do more good on a farm.

I have one now prowling near my home. Soon. Soon.

They kill all the songbirds, cardinals, ground birds, etc. Stray cats are very destructive to the natural order. The idiots who leave them on the side of the road should be shot, but so should the cats. They don't belong in our ecosystem.

Down at my Dad's place, we take them out with extreme prejudice. We value Turkey and Quail, and they're extremely tough on those species.

Too close to neighbors in thug land. Need to get my H&R 622 internally suppressed. BB gun just does not do it.

I used to have bird feeders. The cats killed the song birds. I didn't like feeding grackles that took over, so, no more bird feeders.

The cats like to lounge on my front deck. They to slip in the house if the door is open too long.

ETA My next door neighbor throws out scraps for them.

I don't have one, .177 just sting real bad, I know I have one in my arm.

Ive killed 8 coons in the last 2 years with my .177 cal pellet rifle. Usually takes 3 shots but if i put the first one thru the eye, it drops them. Then 2 more to stop the twitching. 1100 fps with a good hunting pellet does the trick

I once killed a rabbit with a .177 BB gun, single pull leaver action daisy. I paralyzed it with the first shot, but it took many more to put it out of it's misery.

I could never do that again. It was totally un-sportsman like and inhumane.

    1 Shot kill or nothing.

I don't know a lot about dogs. What causes the three to die? Weaker than the others, not enough milk? Just curious. Glad the 9 are doing well.

    .
Two I believe were came out dead. They were still a bit messy. The third I think froze to death. Got stranded too far from mom in the little shed they are in. We check periodically, but that one was dead when we found it. It is impossible to really know for sure though.

I have no problem with the coons suffering in the slightest. They don't give a crap about my chickens suffering when they get ahold of one, so as far as im concerned, they can suffer as well.

I had a Crossman multi-pump 177 for a decade, late last year I picked up a Benjamin Mayhem single pump in 22 cal, major game changer. I have no doubt it will dispatch a coon without issue, just guessing, but it seems 22 short equivalent.
