Yeah, 44 did come along at some point. I don't remember... was it always in Spanish?
I had to look it up on Wikipedia.

Looks like it started in 1970. I remember watching cartoons on there as a kid in the 70s. They went Spanish in 1985.

I also found out we both forgot channel 26, which started in 1964, even before channel 32.

And I was always an early riser, even when I was really little. I remember getting up by myself at age 3 or 4 and turning on the TV to static... waiting until 6am (or was it 7?) when the tired, warped video of the flag waving to the national anthem came on, signaling the beginning of the broadcasting day.

Raised basically by my grandparents so I know about basic TV in the 90s. Every game show, and also our cabin in Wisconsin only had 2 channels and one was all 60s 70s TV shows...

    Nothing wrong with that!
    Grandmas were the best!
Jedi either had to watch game shows or PBS as well when jedi was with grandma. And grandma would get mad at some of those contestants that did not know the price of a washer.

Finally found the Count of Monte Cristo that I've been looking for.
The one from Family Classics, channel 9, when I was a kid.

We had cable at home when I was a kid and far as I can remember but during the summer we used to go stay in a trailer my parents had out at the Yogi Bear campground out by Plymouth and that of course had antenna only. We didn't really watch TV until it got dark but I remember they used to play the original Doctor Who on PBS.
