I think they have to make money somewhere especially with the high cost of movies.

Concessions are where they make almost all of their money. Ticket sales mostly go to the studios and distributors.

A maintenence boss was on the PA talking to another boss about being called to fix a problem in another building.
I was standing up to grab the PA and laugh at him and make a snarky comment, when a voice in my head said, "Do you REALLY want to be on his mind while he's over there getting pissed?"
I decided to listen to the voice in my head.

When I was with the ex, he would spend $15 on popcorn and a Coke for himself, and I would smuggle in some dollar store candy and get a glass of water. I couldn't waste that kind of money on junk even if I wasn't paying.

Walgreens $1 boxes of candy is the way to go. I watched 3 people keep going back for refills on popcorn once upon a time. By the time the movie was over, they had a yard trash bag full and headed out the exit door. I guess they got their money's worth.

I don't mind raisins, but where there are raisins, there is usually too much cinnamon. Dunk them in milk or coffee. You won't notice the taste as much.
