What are you looking at? I've been real happy with my Outback, and my wife loves her Forester. My Outback rides real smooth and hauls a lot of stuff. This turbo model is pretty peppy also. They've got a bunch of them right now at the new Schererville store on 30.

Explorer. Family friend is our dealer that is retired after Saturday. He sells on volume, so he gives you his best price and you don't have to play games. We may very well be his last sale.

I have a front axle leak on the Taco and Toyota of Merrillville wants $842 to fix it.

Am I wrong or does that seem stupid high.

It is caked in limestone dirt from work but still

Avoid the twin turbo 6 cylinder. I’ve replaced lot of turbos and timing chains on those, turbo replacement is in the 10k range cuz it typically takes the cats with them

I'll add the 10spd transmissions look to possibly be suspect as well. At least the early ones. Seeing quite a few 18-20s and parts availability to fix is non-existent. Remanufactured transmissions are running north of $7k installed

Think they were all 10 speeds in the Platinum series.
Believe only the Expeditions have the V8.

Amen to that. I have charged customers upwards of $500 extra for having to chisel thru that mill rot to get to bolts.
We seem to have acquired a fleet that exclusively works at mittal, these trucks make TV’s look like it was just waxed. We’ve charged 8 hours to clean and access an undercarriage to diagnose an evap leak/change a fuel pump

Gotta charge for that. It makes working on a vehicle a massive pita

It appears the experienced techs here are helpfully trying to get you to understand reality. It might not be the desired outcome, but I suggest they both know what they are talking about.

Edit: everything is overpriced. I say that with true boomerish crankiness.
