    Food:
I would like a volunteer or two to handle the food stuff. Donations or members bringing in items would work. However the "food committee" wants to deal with this is OK with me.

NWI INGO Food Committee Chair #1: melensdad
NWI INGO Food Committee Chair #2:

We are allowed to brnig food (ie small gas grills) onto the range based on our July 11, 2010 outing. Last time hot dogs and polishes were cooked on a small propane grill, box of hot chips and browines were brought. The food was primarly brought by two people (melensdad and AuntieBellum).

If we decide to do food this time I suggest we orgainze a bit more and either pitch in money wise or bring food to cook. It was very kind of melensdad and AuntieBellum to bring the food the last time but think it's only fair if the rest of us (or at least those that want to eat) pitch in a bit more.

    Food being brought:
Small BBQ Gas Grill by melensdad
4 packs of hot dogs by melensdad
4 packs of buns for hot dogs melensdad
Cooler with a case of water by infield
    Lemonade & cups by AuntieBellum
    Brownies by AuntieBellum
    Bag of Doritos by jediagh
1 pack of hot dogs by jediagh
1 pack of buns for hot dogs by jediagh
    Napkins by AuntieBellum
Cooler with drinks & some snacks by johncarbaugh

    NWI INGO Range Officer:
I would like a volunteer or two to handle being the offical INGO 25' range officer and have us as a group go over the rules and observe us all on the line.

    NWI INGO RO #1: GhostofWinter
    NWI INGO RO #2: 451_Detonics

    Additional Volunteers:
    Bubba
    AuntieBellum

Jediagh will be bringing the NWI INGO Range Day Rules flyer that AuntieBellum put together.

    Plywood Donation for the Range:
DNR can only put new plywood up on Mondays. I would like for us as a group to donate some money to get new plywood for the 25' yard (3 plywoods) and see if someone can bring it. Either on Sat/Sun when we go or the Monday of the week we go to have it up for us. DNR advised that the state has tighten their funds so they can't always put fresh plywood up. The 11 JUL 10 outing plywood was heavly damaged before we got there and I'm sure by the time we left it was even worse.

    NWI INGO Plywood Person:
    Clif45

Will give a $$$ Donation (Clif45 please advise how much)
    AuntieBellum
    Bubba
    Jediagh

Alright, firearms-wise, I'll be bringing the following:
    Winchester Model 70 .220 Swift
    2 Kimber 1911s
    S&W Model 57 .41 Magnum
    Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum
    Browning .22 lever action
    Remington Nylon 77 .22
    M4 carbine
    AK-47
These being my guns, I will of course have ammo for anyone who wants to try them.

I've got other rifles I want to bring, I might tote them along.

I have a small propane grill with some two canisters if anyone thinks we need more grill space. I didn't eat last time and wasn't there for the cooking, so I don't know how much space was needed.

It's easier for me to chip in on backboard or food or whatever. I think I'll be coming directly from work.

I'm already getting excited! I really look forward to these.

Several things I would like to see in addition to the above suggestions.

    1. no more than 6 people on the line at a time...it is getting just too crowded up there.
    2. benches kept clear except for guns in use
    3. 20 minute relays to allow everyone time to shoot (20 minutes of shooting is a fairly long time) with breaks for target changes between relays.
    4. we should be able to designat a safe gun handling area
    5. Centerfire rifle on the 50 and 100. If you are not on the current 25 yard relay this gives you time to shoot at longer ranges. Rimfire and pistol calibers rifles are ok on the 25.
    6. range officers, I have already volunteered but don't want to do it all day.

I will bring a small gas BBQ grill, 4 packs of hot dogs, 4 bags of hot dog buns.

    For guns:
    • 6.5 Grendel AR15, heavy stainless target barrel, Timney Trigger, Magpul PRS stock . . . just put a new Millett scope on the gun, not yet sighted it, may or may not be sighted in before the shoot.
    • either a 5.56 caliber AR15 or an Armalite AR-180b
    • either a CZ 75b C 9mm or a CZ 75 P-01 9mm
    • Probably a couple 45acp 1911 pistols
I'll bring some practice grade 6.5 Grendel ammo for anyone who wants to try this rifle.

It's gonna come down to a day or two before the event before I know if I can make it. We have a lot of hay to bale, and that's totally dependent on the weather so its hard to call the days ahead of time. I really hope it works out though.

    What I'll bring:

    M4 carbine
    Glock 21
    Glock 30
    Glock 26
    Ruger 10/22
    Remington 700 7mmRUM?
    (have ammo for all)

I could bring a couple cases of water in coolers.

OK just to clarify, the 6.5 Grendel AR15 that I am bringing is an AR15 chambered in the caliber 6.5 Grendel.

ALSO, since there appear to be a couple other AR15's showing up, I will bring an Armalite AR180b (5.56 caliber) instead.

I will bring ammo for this gun because I doubt if too many other folks have 6.5 Grendel ammo.

Also, if all goes well, I will be bringing Juan (INGO member 9mmJV) and will be having 2 non-INGO guests meeting me at the event. One of those guests is Bob the cigar rep who has been kind enough to sponsor the OPEN CARRY CIGAR NIGHTS, the other guest is one of his shooting friends.

I originally voted for saturday but after a bit of a fiasco at work, my new schedule has me working next saturday, so I won't be able to attend again. Have fun for me !
Bummer, I was hoping to see you shooting your AR. I gather you got it all sorted out by replacing the sear spring?

Do you think you will make it to the Schererville Open Carry Cigar Night? :dunno:

Seeing as there has been a good deal of discussion of late about the Kel-Tec PF-9 I will have mine on hand. I will also bring some more unusual guns like the PPSh-41, CZ 52, FN/FAL and perhaps a Suomi.

what happened to my post about what time that would be here in nwl?

Most likely it was on the thread that we had LOCKED as it was not the offical thread. This one:
General Firearms Discussion - Page 2 - INGunOwners

To re-answer your question. If you are in NWI you are on CENTRAL STANDARD TIME which is the same time Chicago is on. From the griffith/hammond area it take 1.5 hours to travel to the range. So I plan on leaving at 8:20AM CST (my time in Griffith) in order to travel 1.5 hrs and get to the range at 9:50AM CST or 10 mins BEFORE the event will start.

The event will start at 10AM CST (our time).

If a train leaves Chicago at 9am traveling at a speed of 60 miles per hour, and another train heads west out of Pittsburg at 10am traveling at 80 miles per hour, which train will arrive in Paris in time for Mardi Gras?

Math makes my head hurt
