Anthem sent me a letter too. If I sign the ACA waiver my insurance goes up
$50 per month Jan 1. If I don't sign the waiver and choose ACA my insurance goes down $100 per month for the same coverage, same policy, and same Ins. co. Plus I'm eligible for a govt subsity of up to $5800 to help pay for the policy. I can't believe that Anthem thinks that I'm stupid enough to sign off ACA.
    Yup!!!!
    We got the same letter.
We have a very basic policy on my Wife since I'm on Medicare.
Her premium will be over $700.00 per month. (3/4 of her income for the month.)
    Screw em.
We won't sign the waiver either......

You are looking at it all wrong... they are not dinging you for an exgtra $100 a month. You are instead generously contributing another $100 a month to pay for someone who is less fortunate to have the same quality of care as you do.

We all have to do our parts!

Yeah, except for the 25% of us who are sponging off the rest of us . . . but I suppose they are doing their part too, in the Great Plan to reduce the United States from Superpower status to Third World Economy, like the Democrat/Progressive/:iberals' idols - Russia and China.

So, I'm watching the president's speech today and he is telling everyone that most people's health insurance costs will actually go down because of Obama Care.......Ok this is good I thought to myself. So, I walk down to the mailbox to get the mail, and wouldn't you know it, I received a letter from Anthem BlueCross & BlueShield informing me that my monthly premium will go up almost $100 a month. This translate to a 25% increase monthly.:xmad: I have a very basic policy just to cover catastrophic type health situations with a $10,000 deductible and they are dinging me for another $100 a month. :xmad:

Our President is a lying POS!!! :xmad::xmad:
Brad, where have you been ????? I have KNOWN that for over 5 years..... and been telling everyone !!!!! ( nobody wants to listen ) !!!!!

The law states that your employer need to send you a letter telling you that you are now able to either remain with your Anthem insurance or go to another insurance provider, now that there is a competitive market opened. Before you go spastic, look at the new market options and compare other insurance plans to your Anthem plan, and see if you can get a better deal.

I'm retired and using a Medicare replacement policy since 2009.
Mine and my wifes premiums will increase 95% in 2014
after a 23% increase this year.
All because of the healthcare act.

The steep increases don't scare me as much as the thought of
going to a single payer system, which is the ultimate goal.
With that comes rationing like you haven't seen.

    More goverment = less service.

I have to LOL literally. I applaud the progressives in this thread, you actually got my blood pressure up for a second there.

If you can't understand that investing money in your kids was an investment in their future, not yours, I can't help you.

if you can't understand that strapping them with more debt means they're future country is bankrupt, I can't help you.

If you can't understand that when companies get hit with more costs (paying more money for insurance in this case), their profits won't suffer, they will eliminate costs as best they can and pass whatever is left on to the consumer so we all get to pay more, I can't help you.

Brad, I feel for you brother. The thieves are taking more and won't stop until there is nothing left to take.

Not only do over 45% of the people pay no income tax, but many people get so much "refundable" credit that the pay no payroll tax, either!

Our health insurance is going up $300 a month (3 people) in January.

If Obamacare was really good, then the unions and especially congress would not need to be exempt from it.

So where are our INGO Obama lovers today, praising the glorious revolution in wise governance that will catapult America to the leading position among the few remaining socialist nations of the world?

The Interationale (English) by Khosrean State Orchestra - YouTube

I follow Matt Brecker on FB and loved this message he posted.

Comrades, don't listen to capitalist wreckers and saboteurs spreading black propaganda and disinformatzia! Obamacare soon shall be running fantastic like Gromylkaya Tractor Factory Number 17! Steady on course, comrades, a new socialist dawn is rising over former USA, now USSA!"

obama, the first king of the United States is right, the cost of healthcare insurance to all federal politicians will go down. The rest of the country can and will go to "h" "e" double tooth picks.

Funny, they called Lincoln a king/dictator/tyrant too. I'm willing to wager that if one did enough research, at least 20 presidents have been labelled as such, so Obama's far from the first.

It's funny how similar this is to Global Warming. At first it was "earth is cooling, its our fault, we're gonna die". Then it was "earth is warming, its our fault, we're gonna die". Then it was "climate is changing, its our fault, we're gonna die". Now they're already "earth is cooling, its our fault, we're gonna die". Just move the goalposts.

This was "gonna lower your premiums". Then premiums skyrocketed and now its "imagine how much higher they would have been without our help".

    Just like stimulus.

I'm self employed and forgot to send myself a letter with the details of all these changes.:):

Seriously though, upon further investigation (actually reading the entire 3 pages) of the letter, I have also been informed that I can keep my current policy by paying the new premium (25% increase), but on December 1, 2014 my current plan/policy will no longer be offered. They (Anthem) suggest that I look at some of their other plans to "fit my needs". Enrollment for a new plan for 2014 starts today through March 31, 2014. I have looked at some of the new plans and all of them have a network of doctors and hospitals that accept these plans...... it is looking like I would lose my long time doctor as I'm not finding his name in any of the doctor network listings. :xmad: I guess I will have to shop around with different insurance companies for a new plan.

So, our POS president lied again when he said we could keep our current health insurance policy/plan and doctors . :xmad:

Who do you think is going to pay the bills your government is running up after you're gone, Manatee? Besides, you chose to create the kids, you should damn well be happy to support them until they're grown; that's part of being an adult - but of course, I shouldn't have to point that out to you, sir.

You can't have both sides of the argument. If it's my responsibility to take care of my kids, isn't it also my reponsibility to be involved in the maintenance of my elder parents? And haven't I done so with my contributions to government programs over the years along with whatever else I may have done to enhance their quality of life?

If it was a good enough obligations model for me, why isn't it for my children?
