I've been to the 1500 a few times and generally I've only found it suitable to unload a glock or pickup something unique (but not sought after) for a good price from a non-dealer.

Right now, I have an DPMS AR-10 that I've been thinking of trading for a PTR. With the rush on ARs, it seems like a good time as I already have a HK91 and a pile of mags. I know I can sell it outright fairly easily but I don't really want to unless I have a good canidate for replacement first.

What are the odds of finding someone that's interested in the opposite end of that trade? I've never tried anything like that.

Like others, I was planning to stay away from this event but if I have a chance of an easy swap it may be worth the wait in line and hassle of the crowd.

I have gone to shows in the past with a specific agenda and come out with exactly what I am looking for. Every show is a little different, so it's hard to say.

I never count on trades. I always seem to be the one getting the shaft in a trade.

I always just sell and then buy.
