I've got a relatively new Ruger 10/22 that I've modified into a Liberty Training Rifle and this is one of the all around "best" rifles I've ever owned. Glad to see Marlin offering a rifle already set up in this fashion. It's unbelievable the difference the sights and sling make over the standard offerings. Can you lay ten rounds into a man-sized target at 100 yards offhand? How about at 200 yards from the prone position? These rifles promote that kind of marksmanship and are completely capable of delivering if you do your part.

The initial run has not been started at the KY factory yet. waiting to hear from them when the first units ready to ship.

in the meantime Davidson's did have a option to get on their stock watch email list but took that down after just a few days. Imagine these will be on back order for a while before availability stabilizes.
