Good gun for the money. I have had nothing but positive experiences with all of the RIA pistols I have shot. Congrats and enjoy!

I dunno, I shot a springfield 1911 in 45 and then the RIA 1911 in 45. The springfield I was very accurate with and seemed built very well. The RIA I wasn't as accurate, didn't like the sights, and the trigger was not as comfortable to me. I realize there's a big difference in price though.
