Before I get to what was in the gun flle, I found the box my NAA single action .22 magnum came in with a holster for it!
Funny part about that is I can't find the gun, and I have known where it is for 25 yrs. until I started buying guns and going to the range.
I took it to the range and fired it, and put it away again: where? Don't know.
Hopefully, when I move Nov. 11, I'll find it.
Now, as to my file!
I remembered that about the time I got away from guns I had applied for my dealer's license and received the info in the mail with the forms I was to use in buying and selling.
That was in 1992.
I found 3 old gun permits: 1988, 1992, and 1996.
I can't believe the guns I used to own that I completely forgot about.
I have receipts and you won't believe the prices on many of them.
One time I went to an auction (Kirstein's Premiier Auction Services) and bought 9 guns for $320: 12 guage (bought for hunting friend), .22 for $17.50, .22 for 12.50, .22 for $20, .22 for $25, .38 for $45, .38 for $30, .38 for $45, .38 for $60. I have my bidder #: 109.
I had to return 1 of the .38s b/c it was reported stolen.
I bought a Colt .38 for $275 and an Escort for $175 in 1992.
Bought a Beretta model 21A .22 pistol at a pawn shop for $130.
Bought a Walther TPH22 for $279 (pricey for the time in 1992).
Bought a Colt Pocketite (wished I still had it).
Bought a Browning BL22 rifle in Huntsville Al for $162 (had to get brother-in-law to buy it for me b/c I was out of state).
Boughr a Marlin tube feed .22 rifle, and a Remington 19 shot rifle.
Bought a S/W model 61-2 .22LR for $125.
Bpught a Beretta 950 for $100.
In 1993 I got a membership to the NRA for $25.
I bought an NAA .22 and later traded it for a .22 magnum that I still have.
Bought a Ruger .22 for $150 in 1993.
Bought an H&R 9 model 923 7 shot, 4" barrel revolver.
Bought an RG17 Derringer .38 for $30 (forgot about that one).
Bought a .38 snubbie and sold it to a fireman.
Bought a Colt Police Special .38 for $45.
Bought a Ruger Mark 2 for $160 in 1992.
Bought a Rohm revolver .38 for $45.
Bought a Bauer .25 for $145.
Most of these guns I don't even remember.
There were another 20-30 guns or more that I bought earlier before I started keeping records, from 1973 - 1990s.
Memory lane.
