Aside from any interest for what I spent last month on gas, all of my credit cards now have a $0 balance.

    Woohoo!

Now to get cracking on the student loans and the car payments.

Dave Ramsey isn't such a crock after all, this does feel good

i was debt free at one time. then I had two kids and the medical bills piled up. I was able to hang on for a while and keep the bills paid off but my insurance is horrible and seems to keep getting worse. debt free was awesome but kids are better and im sure I will get there again. (not saying you guys don't have kids, just that my insurance helped me not be debt free any more)

After this months payment I will also have a $0 CC balance. Just have to pay off a modest medical bill and my debt situation will be back in check. It will be good to be able to breathe debt free air again. It's been awhile.

I've been in debt since I was old enough to accrue it. Congrats on getting out, I don't think I'll ever be set free.

Tb1999, you have to want to! Bad!
its not easy, but very possible. Check out Dave Ramsey's plan. It's very simple and makes sense.

9yfire congrats, I've been a big Dave Ramsey fan for a long time. He has inspired us to be debt free except for the house for 10 years now, it's really gives us peace of mind. Keep pushing to get the rest of it paid off and then you can start building wealth for retirement. Good luck.
