I EDC, plink, target shoot, shoot steel, bowling pins, compete USPSA/IDPA with the exact same pistol...1911 Government Model .45

I have never had any issues concealing it nor carrying it all da either OC/CC.

While I like shooting different stuff, nothing feels like a 1911 for me. To the point that I am looking to get another compact to replace my EDC. I mean, the little Taurus is great. Carries 10-12rds of .45acp, conceals well and is relatively light, but I hate DA triggers. No... check that... I loathe DA triggers. Follow up shots for me are just damn near painful. While I'll likely own more than one type, a 1911 will always be my "go-to" for a handgun. I've had two different fullsizes and a compact. Currently still own a fullsize and if you kow anyone wanting to trade out of a compact let me know! I'm DYIN' here!

I like 1911s a lot but I also like other handguns as well. As far as carrying goes, a full-size 1911 wouldn't be the most comfortable gun to wear, IMHO.

With the right belt/holster combination, a full size is comfortable for all day carry. My biggest issue with carrying my full size 1911 is the damage they tend to do to furniture. I don't mind the 1911 rash on my own, but I find that I always have to be extra careful when in someone else's car or home. A full size 1911 can tear up a cars leather seat in pretty short order.

I have found a full size 1911 does not work for me IWB. The grip sticks out too far. OWB pancake holster can be easily readjusted on the belt to a 3oclock position for sitting in a chair or car. Of course a person will have to wear a proper cover garment.

After purchasing multiple 1911's I thought it was the only gun I would want or need. I think a bobtailed 1911 is the perfect daily carry gun. In the right holster a full size 1911 will be very comfortable to carry. But I really loves wheel guns and CZ's almost as much as I love the 1911.

I do love most of the triggers on the upper end 1911's. They are fun and easy to shoot, and they feel good in the hand too.
But I must confess, I can appreciate most any gun, and love to shoot them all.
Lately, I've been shooting .44 mag wheel guns and lever rifles, and they're fun too.

If you love a design that has been around for over 100 years and is still popular and arguably still one of the best designs on the market, then you have a lot of company.
