    Don't the amoebas bump off a small handful of people every year, particularly people who take a noseful of warm freshwater in the South?

    these brain amoebas are more common than you'd think, usually from swimming in freshwater lakes. Having it in the water supply and not killed by the cholaramine is a new one on me.
