I received a new combat marine knive and after looking it over I noticed that the edge is rolled. Is this standard and I should return it or should I get out the Tri-stones and give it some love? Mainly I want to know is if it is defected and does it need returned?

Try stropping it on some leather first and see if that doesn't fix it. Most times, commercial sharpening can leave a wire edge which is probably the roll you're seeing.
