Interesting contact with officer in Oregon over open carry of an AR-15.

I like how the officer handled the situation. Regardless your stance on open carry, he handled it well and brought up valid points about the issue. All in all, I'd +1 this situation.

This officer is clearly an actor and the cruiser is a prop. How do I know? He never grabbed the firearms (plural) from the video recorder in order to secure them "for his safety", nor did he do a semi-/full-auto function check on the AR to make sure it's not actually an M-16, which would mean he could then demand the recorder produce his ATF Class III tax stamp there on the street.

Really bad form, video fakers.
