So Lori is going to plead guilty, receive two month sentence, but not have to go to jail because of the COVID. Sounds like she was right.

What she should have to do is pay for every expense that was incurred in the process of dealing with her in the legal system up to this point (which should go back to where the expenses were incurred), and then drop some punitive damages on top of it that would go to some kind of scholarship program... and made her do the time in an actual facility somewhere.

Busting parents bribing colleges is easier and less likely to ruin their careers (or end their lives) than it would be to investigate real organized crime such as what has been happening in Washington, DC for decades.

I just saw this but it's pretty much the truth. It's like finding some shlub that probably can't even tie his own shoes but wants to be a 'terrorist' and providing them with things like C4 (fake) they would never be able to realistically get on their own and then swooping in and saying they stopped a terrorist attack lol. Or investigating the Clinton Foundation but just not being able to find any evidence of corruption never mind that they went from what 400 million a year to less than 30 million when she didn't win the election?

As for organized crime, federal prosecutors brought it down in the '80s and '90s and it has not yet recovered. Many thanks to this man:

(another in the long line of presidential candidates who dropped out before the Indiana primary)

There are plenty of hard-charging prosecutors, still. Just because this corruption...and it is corruption, doesn't seem like a serious threat to life and limb doesn't mean that other crimes are not being investigated, nor that this is not worth pursuing.

This reeks of publicity hound to me.
