Accutrigger is essential?
I personally hate that little tab type of trigger.
They look like crap.

I had a Savage Axis and the trigger sucked (pre accutrigger).
Cost me 2 dollars to make it good (and safe).
Yeah, coulda blown 70 bucks for a Rifle Basix trigger..........seemed stoopid to spend that on such a cheap rifle.
I got a 2# trigger for 2 bucks man. Horrible I couldn't use an allen wrench and adjust it all over the place.

Really, who does that? IMHO a hunting gun is set it and forget it.
Horrible trigger, made usable......and yeah, it was an ugly as sin Savage Axis......but it was more pretty than a Savage Axis with accutrigger LOL.

After some stock work, it was a good shooter. I'll give it that. Stock still sucked though.
Sold and got a used 700 ADL synth.
And I still have it.

Plastic stock was made usable, and junk plastic trigger guard replaced w a steel one.
Way nicer gun, looks normal too.

I don't see why the .30-06 has to be in a bolt rig.
Entry level plastic stock doesn't seem "traditional" to me.
Might want to give a look at an old Remington 760..............just sayin'

Now you did it.
You just reminded me that somewhere, must be way back in the back of my safe, there is a sporting version of a .30-06 Browning BAR.
It only has a 3 round internal magazine, but it is semi-auto, so...

I may have to drag that out into the woods next season.
