    Most are 1:9. It's cheaper on the wallet. 1:8 will let you shoot light and heavy cartridges. Personally I buy 1:7 and shoot heavy.

    Interesting responses....

    My 20" Highpower Match Krieger is a 1:7.75 twist and can group sub 1" at 100 yds with 69 gr bullets. Sierra recommends 1:8 twist for their 80 gr. Match King competition pills. My other tools are 1:9 and will do better than minute of man with 62 grainers.

    Go with 1:8 and be happy.
