From one guy who works in the road to anotherOk how can people not follow simple lanes set up with barrels? Big orange barrels. I work road construction and in the last 2 days I’ve almost been hit 10 times in my work truck because people are in such a hurry and don’t care that they drive right through the tack I just sprayed. I don’t get it.
We’re paving on 38th st east of keystone. Ridiculous out here. From one guy who works in the road to another
People are dumb, and they suck
Also it is in the hood of 38th st.Speaking of orange barrels the last time that the wife and I was in Indianapolis I could have swore we passed the same group of barrels that we passed back in 1988 when we were dating.
I'm also convinced that the people who plan construction projects on our roads must do it between shots of tequila and sketch it out on cocktail napkins during happy hour. Because it's nine kinds of screwed up especially around here. We have these idiots EB Paving around here and they couldn't plan a road project in a cul-de-sac
Ooh that sounds like fun. NotAlso it is in the hood of 38th st.
100%Effing people are too busy staring at their smart phones
Yeah. We’ve had some items stolen. The company that did the digging and putting the new pipe in had some cars stolen and a foreman got robbed at gun point. And there have been some shootings going by. Definitely gotta keep your head on a swivel.38th east of Keystone? You are lucky the barrels are still there in the morning.
Or smoking the skunk weed.100%
I only wish I'd have been involved somehow in the invention, design, manufacturing or sales of the orange barrels to INDOT. The barrel contract with Indiana alone has got to be worth 350 trillion dollars a year.I have the utmost respect for the men and women who work on our streets and highways. But I will admit, I’m always fantasized about knocking over about 100 orange barrels or cones one right after the other. Wham, wham, wham… that would be SO satisfying!
Not sure how the State works, but we use 3rd party traffic control. They provide they're own signs and cone / barrels.I only wish I'd have been involved somehow in the invention, design, manufacturing or sales of the orange barrels to INDOT. Hey! If you don’t like the way I drive stay off the sidewalk!Too many people on roads not meant to handle the amount of traffic, trying to get where they're going always in a hurry and always thinking of only themselves.
That explains the 10 miles of one lane barrel corridors for every 50' of actual work area I suppose. Not sure how the State works, but we use 3rd party traffic control. They provide they're own signs and cone / barrels.
We have three different companies we use, so the cost of cones / barrels drops
