Interesting read. The burden to register to vote is now the state's instead of the citizens. Citizens may opt out if they choose to. Oregon already has some of the highest levels of voting registration, and is one of two states that do their voting by mail.

I'm all for having people vote if they want to and are willing to be minimally inconvenienced to do so. If a person doesn't care enough for a little hassle, I would just as soon they stay home.
