So the GOP is required to participate in a Pickett's Charge and enable the enactment of a disastrous bill because; why?

They are doing what they can to land their wooden shoes in the runaway machinery of StateGov, using a strategy that has been used before by both sides, and because they won't just lie back and enjoy it they're being criticized!

Nah, but not doing your job and literally obstructing things is a bad look. We all (many of us) admonished the Indiana Democrats that did the same. And the ones in Wisconsin... because it's policy that we supported.

The reaction, however, I do not recall happening in those situations. I don't think the "Occupy" groups threatened to arm up and defend the Democrats that skipped state.
